hanging with a much more refined
crowd this week - the actresses and fashion
lovers in the Council of Fashion
Designers of 2012 Fashion Awards U.S..
Waters took a grand prize at the event Monday in New York City on behalf of his friend Johnny Depp.
Depp was awarded the Fashion Icon Award. While accepting, Waters called the actor "the star that became fashionable dirty hair." (Depp could not attend the event because he was filming "The Lone Ranger").
The water itself is considered as a kind of fashion. The last LA Weekly Post mentions how he has helped along the creative average trend. He was photographed at the awards in two very fashionable, jackets and orange shoes.
At the ceremony, which showed a collage of some of the costumes to highlight Depp. Accordign The Associated Press, Waters said, "This man can not look ugly no matter how hard you try."
He is mixed, "said John Waters Vanity Fair about Depp." I like Cry-Baby, when he was a rockabilly. But what I like in the pictures when he was getting into trouble. "
Water, very busy that night, took another award on behalf of a Tokyo-based designer, Rei Kawakubo, who works for Comme des Garcons. Waters has modeled for her. The director of Baltimore had a good time with it, too, jokingly describing their appearance and delicate Fabris as "disaster at the dry cleaners."
The stars of the event included Lauren Hutton, the Olsen twins, Padma Lakshmi, Dakota Fanning, Mandy Moore and Heather Graham.
