Lincoln Center's elite fashion city came together to fashion experts have
events like the real indicator of the cache: CFDA Awards 2012.
Overcast skies
withheld the rain as Carine Roitfeld, Anna Wintour, Michael Kors, Diane von
Furstenberg and a group of models paraded at a party before the main event. Among
the most unexpected guest: snowboarder Shaun White, Top Chef judge, Padma
Lakshmi, Lauren Hutton in a white suit and sneakers with one of the Olsen on
each arm.
Seth Meyers
hosted the evening, struck the delicate balance between fashion elite broiler
(Lagerfeld, Galliano) without causing any real damage. Director
John Waters-on shoes in orange and pencil-thin mustache accepted awards for the
absence of Johnny Depp and Rei Kawakubo.

Womenswear
Designer of the night of the Year honors went to Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen
line.
The award for menswear designer of the year was presented to Billy Reid.
Reed Krakoff took home Accessory Designer of the Year.
